Mountain Health Network offers annual flu shot events because we understand the importance of protecting our community and those we serve.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend annual flu vaccines for everyone six months and older, especially those at higher risk of complications including pregnant women, older adults and young children.
Flu shot clinics will be held on the following dates:
Free flu vaccines for adults 18 and older. Anyone with egg allergies should receive vaccinations from their primary care provider and children should receive vaccines from their pediatrician. Masks are required when receiving shots.
Location: St. Mary’s Center for Education, 2853 Fifth Ave
Time: 8 a.m.-noon, or while supplies last
Location: St. Mary’s Family Care-Hurricane, 147 Willow Tree Way, Hurricane
Time: 8-11 a.m., or while supplies last
The St. Mary's Medical Center's Ironton Campus has partnered with the Lawrence County Health Department to provide free flu vaccines. The flu vaccine is available for both children and adults. The vaccine may not be given to those with a severe egg allergy. .
Location: St. Mary’s Medical Center Campus-Ironton, 1408 Campbell Drive, Ironton, OH
Time: 1-4 p.m.
Anyone age 50 or older can enjoy a healthy meal and receive information on the importance of the flu vaccine. Michael Kilkenny, MD, MS, chief executive officer and health officer, Cabell-Huntington Health Department, will be the speaker and free flu vaccines and COVID boosters will be available. The event is free, but registration is required by calling 304.522.0887.
